  • About The Role

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Capital Financial Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will oversee the airport’s capital accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial support for major projects.

    This role involves maintaining the fixed asset register, monitoring depreciation, supporting capital tax allowances, performing investment appraisals, and collaborating with project teams to manage budgets and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage monthly depreciation postings.
    • Support asset revaluations, liaising with Property teams, valuers, and auditors.
    • Submit statistical data on capital expenditure to the Office of National Statistics.
    • Provide monthly capex reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring spend.
    • Assist tax teams in maximising capital tax allowances and ensuring compliance.
    • Support audits and contribute to improvements in capital accounting policies.

    Key Requirements:

    • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
    • Experience in capital accounting, ideally in infrastructure or large projects.
    • Organised with strong attention to process and detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software; Power BI/Power Query desirable.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with flexibility.
